Music From The Film - Gary Young and Arthur Harrison have been basking in obscurity together for over 22 years. In the late 1980s and through the '90s they released several cassette tapes in extremely short runs under the moniker Bone Bunny, and with others in the acts New Killers On The Block and Entfred. Gary also worked with the Washington DC band Drooling Zoomers and Arthur with the bands Jobs For America and Stolen Government Binder Clip. Music From The Film emerged in 2007, representing a...

Acid Police Noise Ensemble is a collective of composers, artists, and performers based in The Hague, Netherlands. Their activities come from a mix of composition, performance art and improvisation, and involve an exploration of "noise" with all of the vague, multi-faceted beauty that it implies. They have been active since 2010 and perform their increasingly theatrical and ambitious projects throughout the Netherlands. These have included their hour-long, "One-Act Aktionist...

The russian band Wozzeck is a duo consisting of Ilia Belorukov (on sax, electronics) and Mikhail Ershov (bass-guitar). They play experimental music with influences from noise, electroacoustic and improvised music. They released one album named Act I (in trio with drummer Pavel Mikheev), an EP with the famous russian musician Alexei Borisov and tracks on different compilations. Act II is the first album recorded as a duo. More than 1,5 years were spent perfecting the final result. This is the...

Six Girls was originally released in 1988 by Watergate Tapes as a 60 minute cassette. It was re-released as a CDR by Staalplaat's Bake Records imprint in 2000. It was remastered from a third generation tape copy, thus restoring the intended poor quality of this recording. Things that appear to be loops, but not quite, are actually tracks composed of infinite micro changes in tempo and timbre.

Claustrophobic free music interspersed with densely textured electronic compositions. Hurdy gurdy, homemades, bass, guitar, drums + electronics. Recorded from 2001-2002, this material formed the basis for the collaboration material given to the Ultra Milkmaids for the tracks they created for Drone+Unease. Released on Public Eyesore. The v. album that most people just can't grasp. Tracklist*: verify lunacy you're errors before hjungle waxing stupor you're debris endure beasts rescure urgent...

Caustic Castle is Kenneth Yates, also of the improvised noise duo's Harm Stryker (w/ Constant Mauk) & Insects With Tits (w/ Chefkirk) and an organizer with the HzCollective [ http://hzcollective.blogspot.com ]. Kenneth Yates utilizes the no-input mixing technique coupled with live processing using the on-board mixer EQ's, various filters, effects pedals and aux-sends to re-route the paths in which the feedback loops interact. With his music usually comes an abstract visual fascination with...

This anthology covers the first three years of the legendary Dutch project Kapotte Muziek, created by Frans De Waard. "Yes it is. You are about to hear and view material that was released by Kapotte Muziek in 1988. It was an anthology of works from the first three and half years of existence. A lifetime it seemed back then, a mere drop in time when I look back on it now. I compiled this tape in 1988 for the US branche of my label Korm Plastics, run by Jeff Surak, who was the driving force...

The only "studio" recording by 2nd period of New Carrollton where everything was not just a live recording session. Heavily under the influence of Nurse With Wound at the time, NC assembled this strange album that was released as a 90 minute cassette tape by Watergate Tapes in 1986. It was later reissued as a 60 minute cdr by Staalplaat's Bake Records imprint. Editing the original tape to 60 minutes was easy to do, since the original release included intentional filler material, to...

Sovmestnoye Predpriyatiye was a Moscow, Russia collective of junk improvisors, who made music with household objects and cheap electronics (when they could get their hands on it). The quartet played a few concerts in Moscow before dissolving in 1995. Free musique concrete.

Two long works from New Carrollton which comprise their final recordings. "Greenline Symphony" was recorded in the studio as a duo. "Anacostia" was recorded live as different duo on WMUC-FM 88.1 in College Park, MD. Longform semi industrial compositions-the first for homemade cello and percussion and sampler, the second for homemace cello, radio, horn, and 4 samplers, each sampler resampling the instruments and each other.

Violet Shifts - Resita Mold A collaboration by Jeff Surak and Frans De Waard resulted in this exercise for acoustic drones using autoharp and guitar. A clear ringing sound with pulses and humming. Hypnotic. This includes a bonus track not available on the original 20 3" release.
